Descendant Trees - From Earliest Known Ancestor to Present Day
TROUT family research posted on this site focuses on members of our extended family back to Jacob P Trout, who was born in Ohio (probably after June 1830 or very early in 1831). In addition to "TROUT", this includes the family of each TROUT bride in our proven direct line: BROWN, HJERTMAN, JOHNSON, MILLEDGE, OLINGER, PARKER, PLATTER, RATFIELD, SAXON, and SHERMAN. Though recent DNA studies indicate that Jacob P Trout and Johann Wendel Georg TRAUT from Germany were from the same family line, no evidence has been discovered beyond the circumstantial to indicate what their exact relationship may have been. Until such a documented link is found, the earliest proven ancestor in our direct TROUT line must remain identified as Jacob P Trout.

As each is uploaded, it will be highlighted in "What's new at Trout-Tracks?"on the Home Page. In addition, a menu item for each bride's surname will be added to the navigation menu at the top of the page beneath "Lines of Descent".
